Paradise--We have a problem
I love, love living here but there are times that things do not go to well. Like this week-end when the hill by our house went up in a blaze.
The roof top is the house across the street.
We have a great department for handling these fires.
No homes were lost, thanks to the work of the fire crew. Crews remain doing clean up but people are allowed to go back to their homes. It looks at this point it may have been illegal fireworks but then people were also shooting in that area.
I am so glad that you were protected from the fire. I read back a few posts to catch up a little with you. It is good to read that you are doing well. Beautiful pictures from your hiking trip.
ReplyDeleteThank you Sherry.
ReplyDeleteIt's scary when that happens so close to home ~ glad everyone was safe. Hopefully the hills near you won't take too long to regenerate with new growth ... J
ReplyDeleteMy hat is off to those who work tirelessly to put these out. I don't think they get nearly enough credit or pay. Glad no homes were destroyed. People should really be more careful when they know this kind of thing can happen so quickly.
ReplyDeleteMy brother is a firefighter with the Phoenix FD and I am so thankful for men and women like him who put their lives on the line everyday to make this world a safer place. I am glad your home was ok.
