I love SNOW!!

             Oh yes, it is cold!
It also comes but once a year to
                special places.

       Everyone doesn't get snow.

My little world is transformed into a snow world.  Everything is white and clean.
When the sun shines, and it does, the little corner of the world is again transformed.   This time to a world full of sparkling diamonds.
With little cotton balls, in place of leaves. All to soon, this fantasy world is gone.
I do love snow

Changes are coming

                                                           Time for a change

I will be changing the name of my blog. It will be even better ( I hope).   There will still be an everythingsewing blog, it also is doing some changes.
So don't be surprised when you see a different blog name with those you are following.  I hope you continue to like what we will do here.

Humming Along

              I can't believe we
             still have a hummer!

Hard to get a picture she is such a blur. I think she is a she!   I thought all the hummers were gone and had taken down the feeder.
I looked out one day and saw this hummer trying desperately to try feeding from the
wind chimes.
So we quick mixed up some food and put the feeder back out.   Come to find out, this hummer is called Anna Hummingbird and is native to the west coast.  We do not live on the west coast, so it has been interesting feeding her all winter.
As long as we have been able to keep the nectar from freezing, which has been a real chore in temperatures dropping to 9.

Snow and Resolutions

What is it about snow that makes us want to just snuggle down? It must be an age thing because I can remember getting so excited when it snowed.  Out came the ski's and  the ice skates, now out comes the logs for the fire and a cup of hot cocoa.
So while I am enjoying  sitting in front of the fire, it is time for list making.  One of the goals I have is to re-do my Christmas gift calendar.  I did this many years ago and it was wonderful.  I had all my gifts, done  wrapped and  under the tree on December one.  A lot of those gifts were made by me and not some Chinese person. Not that there is anything wrong with gifts coming by way of China straight to Wal-Mart.
So what I will do, is start a Christmas Gift Calendar and put it on my pages, which are on the right side of the blog.   This will help me reach my goal and I hope it will help you.

Happy New Year

                                                           Celebrate!
            It's a new year... A traditional
time for a fresh start and new beginnings.
Time to put out the new calendar, and discard the dogeared and over marked one.
There were good times included in those marked days.  There were days we held our breath and waited and prayed for a good out come.  Dump it!! Dump it in the trash and carry forth only your talents,  your love,  and joy and the desire to do better.
Carry forth the excitement, the new year offers.   Discover what makes you a unique and special person.
I am looking forward to sharing a new and exciting year with you.
