Not to serious
I think sometimes we take ourselves way to serious, especially when it involves one of our hobbies.
While visiting one of the many blogs I like, I noticed this fabric box. It is cute, not serious at all and I had to give it a try.
You will find the tutorial here--

Not to serious fabric
So far, very simple
Looking like a box. I think I could use it just like this or-----
I can fold the top down as shown in the tutorial
don't you think it needs cherry buttons?
Wonder if I can find some
cherry buttons
There you have it. as simple as
one, two, three
Love this. You just gave me an idea for Easter for my three adult kids. Looks pretty simple too. Stash busters rule :)
ReplyDeleteDonna, I was thinking the same thing, Easter baskets for adults.
DeleteAs cute as can be! So glad to see you creating!
ReplyDeleteShirley, it feels good to be back to the sewing room.
DeleteThat would be great for Easter. So cute
ReplyDeleteWe share the same idea.
DeleteThis is a cute project. Cherry buttons would be perfect.
ReplyDeleteI hope I can find cherry buttons, I think the basket needs therm.
DeleteThank you Bunny, it was a fun project
ReplyDeleteYes, I do think cherry buttons would be perfect. Could you just do a regular red button then embroider the stem and leaf to make it look like a cherry? Or use fabric for the leaf like an applique?
ReplyDeleteBut here are a couple of links if you would prefer actual cherry buttons.

Angela, how fun and creative is your solution. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteLove it!! I made one of those once but it sure wasn't as cute as yours, Nonnie!! Thanks for the link, because its a cinch I wouldn't have remembered how to do it. I hope you find some buttons or bells or tassels or something to attach to those points...they are screaming for the perfect accent.
ReplyDeleteI know you will make a darling box, so besure to share. I am glad you also agree it needs something special for an accent.
DeleteVery cute, Nonie!
