When it All Drains Away

Have you ever hit a time when your creativity just seems to have up and left on it’s own, with no warning to you?  A time when you really need to be turning out some new spring items and nothing will come to mind?   When you just can’t seem to climb in the boat and float along enjoying what you are doing?

Well, that is where I am today. Half in the tube and hanging on for dear life.  I have pulled out every pattern and tried to match it up to fabric and still I am blank.  There are times when the ideas seem to come so fast I can not keep up, wanting to start another project before the one I am working on is done.  Afraid the great idea will escape me.   So what do you do?  How do you get those ideas flowing? or do you ever run into a creative blank?

This is what I long for, in the boat and everything  sailing along smooth.

  1. Oh yes, happens to me all of the time. I have fabric, and I get tired of the same stuff, but yet I want to do things that are quick so I can get more done.
    Does that make sense? LOL

  3. I think February is just a difficult month, even with Valentine's Day right smack in the middle. We are still recovering from the holidays and winter blahs, but it is not yet Spring. Hopefully, like Spring, your creative side is about to come alive!
Thanks for visiting my blog recently and the kind comments. By the way, several of the Bonnie Blue patterns now do go up into larger sizes. Maybe there is some inspiration there!

  4. Happens to me too!! I usually take break and start by really clenaing up my sewing room. Other times, i take a look at some of the popular children's clothing lines to see what is being offered for the season, like Kelly's Kids, Ragsland, chez ami and so on. I will usually find something I like and think "I can make that even cuter"!!!!
