Just wondering or--inquiring minds want to know
I have a few questions for you. Hope you have time to answer. I have my answer's ready but I really want to see your's first.
- What is it about sewing that really pushes your creative button?
- Do you buy fabric on line or do you prefer to see and feel the fabric?
- Where do you sew? Do you have your own sewing space?
- In this coming year, what new skill do you want to learn? doesn't need to be a sewing skill.
- Do you have plans to add a new sewing machine to your collection?
I follow you because I want to learn how to sew. I haven't even taking the machine out of the box yet...that's how intimidating this is!
ReplyDeleteSo I can't really answer your questions beyond that.
:)
1. Ummm....not sure. I guess the fabric, but according to what I have stacked in here..it must not be pushing my buttons fast enough.
ReplyDelete2. I like to feel it, but if I've seen it somewhere, and find it cheaper online, I order online. I usually order from the same places because I know they have good quality fabric.
3. I do have my own sewing room, and I love it. I just wish it was bigger, but it's much better than some places I've had to sew through the years. LOL
4. I honestly haven't thought about it. I just want to get some projects finished that I intended to do at the end of last year.
5. NO more machines for me right now. I just got a coverstitch machine, and learning to use it is my goal. So far, I love it.
This was fun! You should post this on the forum!
#1 - The colors, the textures, of fabrics inspire me.
ReplyDelete#2 - I am a touch feely and have a real difficulty buying fabric on line. Right now I want some black coating. I just can't imagine not feeling the coating before buying it. There is plenty on line but I will wait till I can hit my fave fabric store about 300 miles away.
#3 - I am blessed to have a dedicated sewing space after many years of making do.
#4 - This year I want to make some slipcovers, a totally new process for me. I also would like to learn to tat and crochet.
#5 - No new machines on the horizon right now. If I see something worthwhile at a yard sale I will pick it up, otherwise, fugetabotit.
1. Children inspire me to create.
ReplyDelete2. I prefer to see and feel the fabric, but I usually end up buying online.
3. I ham very blessed to have my own room for sewing!
4. I hope to learn new embellishment techniques in 2011.
5. I would love to have a new machine, but it's not a *need*, it's a "want" so I doubt I will get a new machine anytime soon.
Happy New Year!
1. I love fabric and choosing ways to use it.
ReplyDelete2. I do buy fabric on line, but my preference is to feel and see the fabric. I have a couple of favorite quilt shops I love to stop in at and also like Pacific fabrics, which I plan to stop by today on my lunch break.
3. I have a sewing and crafting room now that my children are all out of the house. I still bring my machine down to the table once in a while.
4. My husband bought me a new machine a couple of months ago, a major piece broke on my old "new" machine. I love it but still use my old workhorse machine that I have had since the 70's on occasion.
Have fun sewing, I am sure you have a list of projects for the coming months, what do you have planned?
